A REMINDER THAT GO FOR IT! CONTINUES ON WEDNESDAY, Dec. 2nd, for those so inclined to continue achieving success in the key categories. It's in Ms. Sass' room on Wednesdays during lunch. It would be terrific to see some more freshmen and sophomores modeling their successes as you Go For It! in high school.
TOYS FOR TOTS APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE in the rack outside the front office. Completed applications should be brought to the designated location on December 10th or 11th. See the form for further details.
IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE SCHOOL EARLY (FOR APPOINTMENTS, ETC.) PLEASE BRING A NOTE FROM YOUR PARENTS. Keep the note with you to show your teacher so you can get out of class. Turn the note in at Mr. Grusecki's office when you sign out. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO GET YOU OUT AND WHERE YOU NEED TO BE GOING ON TIME! Please be sure to check out of class and be ready to go on time! It is your responsibility to watch the clock!
BUS PASS REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING BEFORE SCHOOL Bus pass requests must be written (by a parent), turned in the Mr. Kiblinger's office BEFORE SCHOOL, and must have the address and name of the bus written on them. Passes requested before school can be picked up DURING LUNCH & AFTER SCHOOL ONLY.
WORK PERMITS If you are under 18 and have a job, you must have a WORK PERMIT! They can be found in the rack outside front office.

NHS MEETING: (MANDATORY) Friday, Dec. 4th, during A-Lunch at 11:15 AM in Room 7. Group picture for yearbook will be taken!
THE EARTH CREW WILL BE HOLDING THEIR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CRAFT NIGHT on Wednesday, Dec. 9th, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. In the commons. Bring items to recycle into gifts. No charge. Everyone is welcome. Many projects are "kid-friendly". See the posters in the hallway or Ms. Owens' blog for details.
EARTH CREW MEMBERS ARE NEEDED TO WORK ON CHRISTMAS CRAFT NIGHT PROJECTS. We will meet Wednesday, Thursday & Friday this week after school for about 1 hour to prepare for the event. You do not have to attend all meetings.

COUNSELING OFFICE NEWS...
ATTENTION STUDENTS INTERESTED IN TAKING COLLEGE CLASSES IN THE SPRING: Dual Enrollment packets are now available in the Counseling Office. Early spring registration for Alpena Community College is from November 2, 2009 - December 4, 2009. Applications require both counselor and principal signatures PRIOR to registration so plan ahead and get your paperwork completed before going up to register. If you have any questions, please contact the counseling office.
THERE IS A LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE OFFERED BY MICHIGAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP (M.Y.LEAD) for interested sophomores. The conference is held May 14 - 16th at Michigan State University. Participants will develop the leadership skills necessary to become understanding and effective leaders of tomorrow. Conference activities include motivational speakers, panel discussions about current events, team-building exercises, and much more.
