Spirit week begins next week! Monday is Hat Day!

Sophomore Homecoming Committee Meeting: TODAY at lunch in Mrs. Grusecki's room (#29). Bring your lunch and Homecoming ideas with you!
There will be a yearbook meeting in room #34 on Monday October 1st @ 2:45. Please see Mrs. Beckley if you are unable to attend. The club is still accepting new members. If you are interested in joining just stop and talk to Mrs. Beckley.
NHS Members, there will be a mandatory meeting in room 31 at 7:30 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd.
Wish the equestrian team Good Luck this weekend as they travel to Gaylord for Regional Competition. The team has a really good chance of making it to State this year. Youi can be proud of the way our riders represent our school.
* * OTHER IMPORTANT NEWS * *
The first Knowledge Bowl test for team selection will be Tuesday, October 2. If you want to join the Knowledge Bowl Club and try out for the team, pickup an application in the library now. All applications have to be turned in by October 2 in order to take the test.
The school store is now open for business. Our new spirit items and clothing will be delivered soon! Please keep the hallways clean if you want the store to remain open.
TUTORING: Tuesday mornings from 7:00 – 8:00 AM and Thursday afternoons from 2:35 - 3:35 PM, there will be an opportunity for students to have extra help with their homework and/or assignments with tutors in the art room. It is an open door and you do not need to stay the full hour.
HUNTER SAFETY CLASS for ages 10 and up will take place at the M-65 Bait Shop in Hale on October 12th & 13th (Friday 5-10 PM, Saturday 8 AM – 5 PM and lunch will be provided). There is no charge for this class. Call to pre-register at 756-3651.
IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE SCHOOL EARLY (for an appointment, etc.) please bring a note from your parents. Keep the note with you to show your teacher so you can get out of class. Turn the note in to the office when you sign out. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO GET YOU OUT AND WHERE YOU NEED TO GO ON TIME. Also, if you have a note, please be sure to check out of class and be ready to go on time! It’s your responsibility to watch the clock!
BUS PASS REQUESTS must be in writing and turned in to the office BEFORE SCHOOL. Written notes must include the address and name of the bus. Passes requested before school can be picked up in the office DURING LUNCH and AFTER SCHOOL ONLY.
If you’re under 18 and have a job, you must have a WORK PERMIT! You can pick one up in the high school office.

Attention Seniors: You may turn in your senior and baby pictures to Mrs. Beckley in room #34 anytime before Oct. 19th. If you still haven't had yours taken please speak with Mrs. Beckley A.S.A.P. After Oct. 19th the yearbook club will be forced to use your ID photos. So please get your pictures turned in.

· VARSITY BOYS’ SOCCER AT SAGINAW NOUVEL TONIGHT AT 5:00 PM. Bus leaves at 2:30 PM.
· JV FOOTBALL AT HOME TONIGHT VS. PINCONNING AT 7:00 PM.

The volleyball team is still looking for students to work as line judges at the volleyball games. No experience necessary. Students interested in working the game will receive free admission and will earn $20 punch cards good for admission to athletic contests this school year. If you are interested in supporting your volleyball team, please see Mr. Mikulski today!
The freshmen volleyball team defeated Standish last night 25-22 and 25-11.
The Tawas boy’s Junior varsity soccer team hosted Ogemaw junior varsity soccer team last night. Tawas won the match 1-0. D J Decker scored the only goal with 15 minutes left in the game. Andrew Difillipo had the assist. Tawas had 19 shots and J D Putz played a strong game in goal stopping 10 shots from the Falcons.

Freshmen Homecoming Committee will be meeting Thursday before school at 7:30 AM in Mr. Livingston's room. You will need to bring an empty pop bottle.
Attention Junior Class Board: We will be meeting before school Thursday morning to begin decorating for Homecoming. Please meet in Mr. Livingston's room by 7:30 AM.
