4TH OF JULY PARADE: Any group interested in marching in the parade this year must pick up a form at the Chamber of Commerce. They are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or call 362-8643. There are new rules this year and also a theme; "Back To Our Roots."
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION...
DETENTION Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays after school in Mrs. Whetstone's room (#36) from 2:45 - 3:45 PM. Wednesday morning detention will be in Mrs. Kosto's art room from 7:15 - 7:55 AM.
IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE SCHOOL EARLY... (for appointments, etc.) please bring a note from your parents. Keep the note with you to show your teacher so you can get out of class. Turn the note in to the office when you sign out. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO GET YOU OUT AND WHERE YOU NEED TO GO ON TIME. Please be sure to check out of class and be ready to go on time! It is your responsibility to watch the clock!
BUS PASS REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING BEFORE SCHOOL Bus pass requests must be written (by a parent), turned in to the office BEFORE SCHOOL and must have the address and name of the bus. Passes requested before school can be picked up DURING LUNCH & AFTER SCHOOL ONLY.
WORK PERMITS If you are under 18 and have a job, you must have a WORK PERMIT! They are in the rack outside the high school office.
COUNSELING OFFICE NEWS...
F.Y.I. FOR ALL STUDENTS: If you want your final report card they will be ready for pick-up only (they do not get mailed out) in the counseling office between Friday, June 19th, and Friday, June 26th. REMINDER, the counseling office is now located in the junior high office.

SUMMER VOLLEYBALL BEGINS TONIGHT (June 8th) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Grusecki's. All prospective JV and varsity players are invited to attend.
THE VARSITY SOFTBALL TEAM WAS DEFEATED BY PETOSKEY 2-1 in the Division II, Region 9 tournament held at West Branch. Tawas defeated Cadillac 13-1 in the semi-final to advance to the championship game. Leading hitters on the day were Katie LaHaye with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI; Christie Cooper had three hits; Lauren Look had a home run and two RBI; Lyndsey Look and Abby Gentges had two hits and one RBI each and Rachel Adaline and Alex White had two hits each.
